The Department of Public Works (DPW) will ensure that the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) and its registered members continue to play an important role in the implementation of government’s National Development Plan. Speaking on behalf of Public Works Minister Thulas Nxesi at ECSA’s incoming council meeting on Tuesday, DPW director-general Mziwonke Dlabantu said South Africa’s economic development was dependent on a robust engineering industry.
