We have answered the call from our incredible customers to expand into the structural steel market in order to meet their demands for highly accurate and efficient processing of all tube and structural steel sections.
Gone are the days of endless grinding, measuring and re-working. The LT20 can literally cut, pierce, mill and de- burr in a single cycle and we believe this will revolutionise the way architects put pen to paper.
This highly accurate laser can process tubes and beams in a heartbeat, rendering them ready for final assembly and erection.
Our new heavy gauge stretcher leveller produces flat sheet and plates that stay flat after operations like laser, plasma or water jet cutting, shearing, turret punching, bending, forming, welding and finished assembly.
All trapped stresses and shape memory are completely eliminated, and the cost savings from producing less scrap can be as much as 15%.
To complete our differentiation strategy, we decided to brand our stretchered product which now carries the label ASSM (Allied Steelrode stretcher material).
Our customers have confirmed that this is the flattest material they have ever received, both before and after processing and fabrication.
The stretcher leveller achieves this by stretching the entire cross section of the strip- top to bottom and edge to edge beyond its yield point.
The machines capabilities are from 1.50 mm to 13 mm thick, 2000 mm wide strip with up to 15 metre lengths.
We have four cut to length lines ranging from 0.30 mm up to 13000 mm all delivering high end material with our flagship SACMA Syncro Shear being able to produce 180 blanks per minute ideal for the automotive and shelving industries, the machine also has side trimming capabilities for narrowing strip pre-cut to length.
Our SACMA plate line is an outstanding machine producing top class flat steel for those customers who don't want to spend the extra on stretcher levelling.
Our slitting lines comprise of a SACMA medium duty slitter from 0.30 mm to 3.0 mm capable of operating at 200 meters/ minute along with a horizontal automatic binding line to give you picture perfect coils.
Our heavy duty SACMA is the heaviest on the continent capable of slitting from 3.0 mm to 13.0 mm also delivering a high quality product for the tubing and roll forming and other industries. Our width range on the machines are from 25 mm to 1850 mm.
Our high speed precision processing equipment has afforded us the opportunity to break further ground into the Automotive Industry by being awarded direct OEM supply as well as to a number of component manufactures.
2013 brought about investment opportunities to further bolster our capacity & capabilities with the focus on delivering a quality product phenomenally fast.
Our first investment strategy was to acquire a state of the art, fully automated shearing machine, capable of loading the raw material, processing, to the packing of the finished product. |

Allied Steelrode's impressive plasma cutting machines have 3 high definition 360 plasma heads, two of which are on one bridge, therefore reducing lead-times. A table bed of 26 meters allows for big jobs to be done and with its precision holing and cutting, a range of 1.00 mm to 50.00 mm can be cut. Marking with the torch head is also available.
Allied Steelrode's cold forming mills have the latest technology with inline punching and hard marking capabilities.
We produce the full range of lipped channels from 1.60mm to 3.50mm in thickness, 75mm to 425mm base, 50mm to 100mm leg and lengths ranging from 1.200 metres to 18.000 metres. We are able to punch a number of hole sizes namely 12mm, 14mm, 18mm & 22mm, and a slot (18mm x 36mm). Having these fully automated and dedicated forming mills we are able to reduce lead times.
Samis Press - processes steel coil straight into discs for the geyser and mine industries. The advantage of this press line is that it produces blanks straight from coil and the design and nesting of components can save on scrap thus reducing costs. Our press line can handle 1500 mm wide coil with a pressing depth of 1600 mm with a thickness range from 0.50 mm to 2.00 mm.
Forming and packaging press
The lid press processes steel coil straight into components for the drum industries. This line can handle 1500 mm wide coil and a thickness range from 0.50 mm to 2.0 mm.
We have an impressive guillotining capacity which includes a fully automated high speed guillotine, that has a thickness range of 0.40mm to 3.20mm with a 2000mm blade.
We have 3 hydraulic guillotines with a thickness range from 0.50mm to 25mm thick all with a 3000mm blade and mechanical guillotines with a stroke capacity of 45 cuts per minute.
